With so many television shows generating curiosity and wonder about nature, kids are showing more interest in animals than ever before. Catoctin Wildlife Preserve offers animal birthday party packages sure to please all the nature lovers in your family.
Parties at the preserve are available most park operating days.

The “Zooper” Birthday Party
$375 ($350 for Members)
All the essentials for a fun, low-stress birthday party.
- General Admission to the Preserve for 10 people (Adults and/or Children)
- Birthday Child Receives FREE Admission
- Reserved time in a reserved space (90 minutes)
- Zoofood (petting zoo feed) for each Party Guest
- Fruit Punch and Water (1 gallon of each)
- Cups/plates/napkins for 10 guests
- Animal Themed Cupcakes (10 cupcakes)
“Zooniverse” Birthday Party
$675 ($650 for Members)
Expecting 20 guests or more? Upgrade for even more value.
- General Admission to the Preserve for 20 people (Adults and/or Children)
- Birthday Child Receives FREE Admission
- Reserved time in a reserved space (90 minutes)
- Zoofood (petting zoo feed) for each Party Guest

Park Activities (Subject to Availability)
- Safari Ride* – $17.50 per rider *This experience has a required minimum of 10 people. For safety, the Safari has the following restrictions: riders must be at least 36″ tall, no neck or back injuries, no infants or pregnant women. This is a very bumpy and bouncy ride.
- Parakeet or Tortoise Feeding (available Memorial day to Labor Day, weather permitting for an additional charge)

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my own food?
Yes! Outside food is allowed, however, we do not supply refrigeration, heating or transportation for your food items. Coolers with wheels are recommended.
Who counts toward my guest total for each package?
The total number of guests includes Preserve members and non-members, all adults, and all children 3 years of age or older. The birthday person gets free admission. Each guest gets entrance to the park, a cupcake and drink.
How do I handle the deposit and payment?
A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book your date. Your final headcount and payment are due five days prior to your party date. No changes may be made after this date. We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. We do not accept personal checks.
What if I want to reschedule or cancel the party?
Up to 5 days prior to your party, you may reschedule for a different date and time (based on availability) without a change fee.
Up to 5 days prior to your party, you may cancel and recieve a refund minus the non-refundable deposit.
How far in advance should I make party reservations?
Party capacity is limited, so all reservations are based on availability. We recommend you schedule birthday parties at least 4 weeks in advance. This typically provides the best options for dates and times.
Can I bring balloons and other decorations?
Due to concerns about the safety of the animals, we do not allow balloons, straws or confetti in the park.
